The Plaza Beach Resorts is a collection of three award winning boutique resorts located on the island of St Pete Beach in Florida. The three resorts are the Plaza Beach Hotel-Beachfront Resort, the Bayview Plaza Waterfront Resort and the Bay Palms Waterfront Resort – Hotel and Marina. These three properties have been community landmarks since the late 1940’s/early 1950’s. All three resorts are boutique by design with Plaza Beach having only 39 suites, Bay Palms with 15 suites, and our smallest resort, but most charming is the Bayview Plaza with only 7 suites. With so much history, if these walls could talk they would have some stories to tell you. Maybe stories of how Al Capone frequented St Pete Beach and even owned a house in St Petersburg. Other famous persons such as Lou Gehrig and Franklin D Roosevelt, have also visited and walked the beautiful sandy beach of St Pete Beach, which in 2012 was Voted #1 Beach Destination in America by TripAdvisor and top 10 beach town in 2013 by Parents Magazine.
Our three resorts have seen hundreds of thousands of guests and a handful of owners.
Our History
The Plaza Beach Hotel Beachfront Resort was purchased by Chris and Victor Czyszczon. Two brothers from Chicago that had enough of the cold and decided to move their families and take a chance at the hotel business. The property in dismal shape, was about to be torn down, the adjacent property was torn down to make room for a condo hotel. The brothers were determined to make it and with hard work and sleepless nights they did.
Truly family owned and operated, our family has been in the hotel business since 1988. Today the traditions and values are just as strong as they were the day the family bought their first boutique hotel. The owners are still on property to ensure that your stay is as enjoyable and memorable as possible. We are continuously striving towards ensuring the most modern, up-to-date, convenient rooms, through constant improvements for your added comfort and enjoyment.
Our loyal guests at the Plaza Beach Resorts are like family and have come to know our resort as their “Home away from Home.” Families have been making the Plaza Beach Resorts their yearly vacation a tradition for generations and still today that is evident.
